The Kenai Refuge & Visitor Center is a great place to visit as well, particularly if you want to find out about the wildlife of the region. The refuge is nearly two million acres, so it is plenty big enough for you to explore over and over again. There is is a six-acre park that houses the Soldotna Homestead Museum, where replica log cabins and other items from the region’s history can be viewed.
