E Flat Tuning (Eb Ab Db Gb Bb Eb) is another alternative tuning setup that so many musicians use. It is also known as the Half Step Down tuning. It allows you to play lower keys while using open strings. 

By being in lower keys, the singer might sing the high notes more easily, or the song you play can sound differently. It is not a coincidence that almost every Guns N Roses song is composed in E Flat Tuning, which adds so much to their fame and success.
