AB Inbev Builds First Southeast Asian Brewery on Flowcrete Floors | A Flowcrete Asia Case Study

When Anheuser – Busch Inbev opened its first brewery in Southeast Asia, it only utilised the most modern equipment, technology and practises to ensure that it created the best quality produce possible, which would include the globally recognised brands Budweiser and Becks.

This commitment to excellence extended to the floor finish, as the leading global brewer knew that a hygienic, safe and reliable surface was essential to guaranteeing the sanitary integrity of the beer as well as the operational effectiveness of the site.

Flowcrete Vietnam worked closely with the site’s designers to ensure that its floors would be able to retain a clean, functional surface for an extended period of time despite the challenges of a large-scale brewery tasked with producing 100 million litres of beer a year.

1,825m2 of Flowfresh RT was installed across both the bottling line and production line, as it would be able to withstand the spillages of beer and brewery ingredients, heavy equipment, thermal shock, frequent cleaning and constant foot traffic that it would inevitably be faced with.

200m2 of Flowfresh MF was also installed in the chemical storage area thanks to its ability to maintain a seamless, impervious finish despite exposure to the corrosive chemicals kept onsite. All systems in the HACCP International Certified Flowfresh range include the antibacterial agent Polygiene®, which is able to eliminate up to 99.9% of bacteria in contact with the floor.

In the room with the brewery’s tanks, 620m2 of Flowchem VE was applied, as this system has been specifically designed for use in areas prone to continuous or occasional exposure to aggressive chemicals, thermal and mechanical stress – making it ideal for the needs of AB Inbev’s tank room
