ASUS Phoenix GeForce GTX 1050 Ti Graphics Card

ASUS GTX 1050 Ti Overview

Boosts the card’s clock speed in real-time based on the target temperature. If the card is running below the set target temperature, GPU Boost 3.0 will increase the clock speed to improve performance. The target temperature can be reset depending on your preference so you can have the card run more quietly for everyday tasks and older games, and run at full tilt during intense high-resolution gaming sequences.

When used with a monitor that has G-SYNC hardware installed, the monitor’s refresh rate will sync and lock with the graphics card’s output frame rate. Establishing this sync removes tearing and stuttering which can result from conventional fixed screen refresh rates, especially important for gaming in stereoscopic 3D. An additional benefit of G-SYNC is reduced lag so gamers will benefit from the improved command response time as well.

With CUDA, NVIDIA allows applications to hand off CPU-intensive tasks to the GPU. Your GPU is no longer just used for rendering graphics, but it can provide teraflops of floating point performance and accelerate application tasks, from real-time video rendering to fluid dynamics simulation. CUDA is used in many applications and games.

With Ansel, gamers can compose the gameplay shots they want, pointing the camera in any direction and from any vantage point within a gaming world. They can capture screenshots at up to 32 times the screen resolution, and then zoom in where they choose without losing fidelity. With photo-filters, they can add effects in real-time before taking the shot. And they can capture 360-degree stereo photospheres for viewing in a VR headset or Google Cardboard.

The front panel of the card features a variety of outputs including DisplayPort 1.4 output, one HDMI 2.0b output, and one DVI-D Dual-Link output. The GTX 1050 Ti is not just about high-resolution gaming; Computationally intensive programs can utilize the GPU’s 768 cores to accelerate tasks using CUDA or other APIs.

Based on NVIDIA’s Pascal architecture, the ASUS Phoenix GeForce GTX 1050 Ti Graphics Card provides major improvements in performance, memory bandwidth, and power efficiency over its predecessor, the Maxwell architecture.

The PH-GTX1050TI-4G proved to be an ideal match for my PC which has an ASUS Prime B-365M-A motherboard. My experience with ASUS products for over a year, has been outstanding. At the time of this writing, I just purchased an ASUS PC, as to compliment my experience even more.

I’ve always liked the Geforce series of video cards. This was an upgrade for me from a Geforce GT730. I love it. I can finally run a 60 fps.

I have been a long time fan of Asus, but I’m stuck with a lousy Dell, for financial reasons.
I had to play Outward on the Potato setting. Thank God, they had a Potato setting …
Anyway … This thing (PH-GTX1050TI-4G) doesn’t even fit into my SFF, BUT I got it to fit into the small pci slot, with the cover off, and I had to use the display port instead of the HDMI, because of the stupid way Dell builds their crap. BUT, now, I am able to play Outward on the Ultra setting, which make my 69 year old eyeballs REALLY happy. I am hoping to, one day, actually a ASUS computer, but until then, I ain’t got that Potato to deal with. I love ASUS, man. That company builds the real thing.

My older PC was not compatible with DirectX12. This card was an upgrade for old reliable and can now play games that otherwise could not be played. Also, playing on a brand-new OLED 55 TV. Working great at the highest resolution it can do.

Not much to say about this…It’s plug and play, worked right out of the box. I bought this to handle 4K 60p video, which it does handily. Quiet, no fan noise, and I haven’t had any compatibility issues with my previous graphics card (which I left installed for 2nd and 3rd monitors) or with any other device. Recommended, for sure

Great compact video card

Nicely packaged and compact, which was the biggest selling point for me as it is installed into a Desktop Case which is already crowded with 6 hard drives, a video drive, and other plug in cards. I do not do gaming, so the fact that it is “ancient technology” (by current gamer standards) did not matter. My need was for the acceleration of encoding/decoding uses and video enhancement, which it handles quite nicely.
