Method 1: VINELink

Public members can use VINELink to conduct a free inmate lookup and the incarceration status in Alaska. The public can also search as “guests” to access information on the VINELink website.

The VINE system allows crime victims to sign up for an account and receive updates whenever the inmate’s custody status changes. VINELink also provides a mobile application platform that enables streamlined public information access.

You can use the following steps to find an inmate in Alaska using the VINELink method:

  1. Log onto the VINELink website and locate the holding facility of the inmate. After logging in, the website requires the name or ID number of the inmate.

  2. You’ll get a list of inmates whose details match your search intent on the following page.

  3. Click on the “Record Details” button to see the specifics of a given offender’s file record.
