My wife has an Apple Watch SE, since Nov.2020 (hers is 44mm) and she’s never had trouble with it. This model is the smaller (40mm) model. Here are my LIKES and DISLIKES concerning this model:

Like – good clear screen, but a bit too small.
Like – more apps than you can shake a stick at.
Like – smooth seamless integration with my iPhone.
Like – quality of the product, my Fitbit Versa 3 came apart 1 month after the 1 year warranty ended.
Dislike – way too short battery life; one day.
Dislike – needs charging EVERYDAY; how can you do sleep tracking if the watch needs charging?
Dislike – VERY s.l.o.w to charge; 60-90 minutes, minimum.
Dislike – price, but then it appears that you get what you pay for.

The bottom line is that the step count inaccuracy, short battery life and s.l.o.w charging are deal breakers for me. Fitbit watches go for 3 to 4 days, before needing to be charged. Fitbit watches charge in less than 30 minutes. Lovely watch, but battery life & step count inaccuracies, scuttles the Apple Watch SE (1st gen). Too bad, as it’s an awesome smartwatch!
