Amsonic Hamo | Expert in Ultrasonic Cleaning – Company Profile

1956
Hans Moser founded the company and is among the inventors of automated cleaning solutions. Initially Hamo supplies households and restaurants with cleaning equipment. As the technology spreads Hamo, now led by Hansruedi Moser, introduces validated cleaning for hospital CSSDs, pharmaceutical labs, medical device and pharmaceutical manufacturers.

1990
Introduction of Infracontrol. The world’s first microprocessor controller for cleaning units with functions such as infrared communication and RS 232 communication ports. This control concept is a milestone allowing the cleaning units’ controls to communicate with data acquisition systems for validation and documentation reasons.

2003
Between 2003 and 2011 the activity of Hamo in the hospital and pharmaceutical sector was operated by Steris. In parallel Amsonic was created to serve customers in the medical device and precision industry.

2005
Inauguration of the new headquarters in Switzerland.

2011
Amsonic – Hamo takes back the activity for pharmaceutical cleaning from Steris.

2013
The knowhow of Amsonic – Hamo in medical device, precision industry and the pharmaceutical industry is combined.

2017
Cyclic vacuum technology used for 3D printed parts as well as containment cleaning  technology, both invented by Amsonic – Hamo, underline the advanced engineering capabilities.

2020
Amsonic takes over the activities of Alphaphoenix. The competence and manufacturing site in Germany will be developed into an important pillar of the Amsonic Hamo Group and allowed manufacturing close to the customer base.
