Anti-Mage’s game breaking Aghanim’s Scepter bug spawns infinite Blink Fragments
For those looking to queue up a relaxing game of Dota 2 today, watch out for Anti-Mage.
The hero, already one of the game’s most elusive and annoying heroes, has a new way to be extra infuriating. A newly discovered bug means that the hero can now gain access to infinite Blink Fragments the moment they purchase an Aghanim’s Scepter.
Anti-Mage bug exploits by dropping and picking up Aghanim’s Scepter
All you need to do to replicate the bug is drop the Scepter and pick it back up again. You’ll gain three charges every time you do so, and it’s not just a visual—all of them are usable.
The only limiting factor is the hero’s mana pool, which will quickly run out if the Anti-Mage player decides to spam everything needlessly. But this is a game breaking exploit that allows the hero to constantly pour forth a stream of low commitment, mana burning illusions.
These illusions are even harder to deal with than the standard ones, dealing 75 percent damage instead of Manta Style’s 33 percent for melee heroes, or the Illusion Rune’s 35 percent.
The exploit should be fixed quickly, considering that Valve was quite on the ball with another infinite exploit—one that allowed Dazzle to consistently refresh Hand of Midas. But in the meantime, it might be a good idea to stay away from a game if you don’t want to be pulling out your hair—or hope that the hero gets banned for a fair match.
