Apple is reportedly set to open their first Flagship Retail Store in a High-End Mall in Mumbai, India next month

In early January, Patently Apple posted a report titled “Apple has started Hiring Retail Store Workers for Flagship Stores coming to New Delhi and Mumbai in 2023.” The rumors of flagship Apple Stores coming to India had a lot of false starts due to COVID. Today we’re learning that Apple is preparing to open its first Flagship store in Mumbai in April with a second store opening in New Delhi in the coming months.

According to an Economic Times report, Apple’s flagship store in Mumbai is coming up over 22,000 square feet in the Jio World Drive Mall owned by Reliance Industries. It also added that Apple’s store will be very similar to the flagship outlets in Los Angeles, New York, Beijing, Singapore and Milan.

Specifically, the New Delhi Apple Store will open in the high-end Select CITYWALK mall in Saket. This outlet will be spread over almost 10,000 square feet and similar to Apple’s Mumbai store, this is also in-line to open in April. If everything goes as per the plan, the New Delhi store may reportedly open just a few days after the Mumbai store.

In Early February, during Apple’s Financial Conference Call, Apple’s CEO stated. “India is hugely exciting market for us and is a major focus. We brought the online store there in 2020. We will soon bring Apple retail there. So we’re putting a lot of emphasis on the market.”
