Aquacity JSC engaged us as the Design consultant to provide Master Planning and Urban Design services for the development of the Aquacity Project as part of the Long Hung Commune, situated in the Long Thanh district within the Dong Nai Province, Viet Nam.
Aquacity will be an integrated and comprehensive urban development that has strong links with other townships within the Long Hung Commune and will provide for a quality & eco-friendly new riverside town in Dong Nai.
The general development planning aims to reach a balance between the social, economic and environmental needs of the future community of Aquacity. The period 2006 to 2020 aims to establish Aquacity as an ecological urban township, a “green township”. Aquacity will have low construction densities and building heights, a high proportion of green open space and green, landscaped water edges, before heading to the more bustling and more urban central area of the Long Hung Urban Township.

A key distinguishing element of Aquacity will be the landscaping treatment of public open spaces, including the wharfs, public squares or village greens and waterfront public reserves. Ecological features created by green corridors of trees will protect river edges and canals and will provide pedestrian access and public linkages to all of the water edges in Aquacity.
