Reviews for the Asus Zenpad Z10 ZT500KL

ASUS ZenPad Z10 review: A fantastic tablet for what that’s worth
Source: English

Archive.org version
The ZenPad Z10 is a decidedly better tablet than its cousin, the ZenPad 3S 10. It offers fantastic performance, wonderful build quality with a beautiful screen, a pretty decent software experience all things considered, and simply amazing battery life. It’s because of these things that I think it is one of the best Android tablets you can get right now, for what that’s worth. What makes it even better is that you get all of this for $329.99 outright, $149.99 on a two-year contract, or for $13.74 per month.

Android still isn’t our overall pick for a tablet operating system. It has fewer tablet-optimized app experiences than iOS, and it has less capable productivity apps than Windows. But Android tablets are just fine for Web browsing, video playback, ereading, and plenty of games, and their prices often can’t be beat. The Z10 gets you a lot for your money, making it a solid buy.

Qualcomm Adreno 510: Integrated graphics card based on the Adreno 500 architecture, like the Adreno 520 in the Snapdragon 820. Performance should be on average similar to the old Adreno 330 in the Snapdragon 801. Supports DirectX12, OpenCL 2.0, OpenGL ES 3.1 + AE.

Only some 3D games with very low demands are playable with these cards.

650 MSM8956: Upper middle class ARM based SoC with 6 CPU cores (64 Bit Cortex A72 and A53 mixture) and a Adreno 510 GPU.» Further information can be found in our Comparison of Mobile Processsors.

9.70″:

The screen diagonal is used for small tablets.

Large display-sizes allow higher resolutions. So, details like letters are bigger. On the other hand, the power consumption is lower with small screen diagonals and the devices are smaller, more lightweight and cheaper.

0.49 kg:

This is pretty heavy for a smartphone. Usually, small tablets weigh as much.

Asus: ASUSTeK Computer Incorporated, a Taiwanese multinational company, produces motherboards, graphics cards, optical drives, PDAs, computer monitors, notebook computers, servers, networking products, mobile phones, computer cases, computer components, and computer cooling systems. The company’s 2007 revenues reached US$6.9 billion. ASUS also produces components for other manufacturers. The Eee PC initiated the netbook boom in 2008.

In the notebook sector, Asus had a global market share of about 11% from 2014-2016, making it the fourth largest laptop manufacturer. In the smartphone sector, Asus is not among the Top 5 and has only a small market share (as of 2016).

70%: This rating is bad. Most notebooks are better rated. This is not a recommendation for purchase.
