The Cosrx Hydrium Centella Aqua Soothing Ampoule is a soothing, cooling and lightweight moisturizer that promises lasting hydration even during the hot summer days preventing the pores to clog. This has a thin and slightly watery consistency that is still very spreadable. For the summer days, I use this after toner and before sunscreen for daytime routine, making it my only moisturizer for the day. While for nighttime routine, I apply this after toner and before my serum as I want to be more hydrated at night. For the colder months, I think it’s better to apply a moisturizing serum or cream after this if you want full hydration and moisture. I just love how my skin isn’t oily at all during the day with this even with the humid weather but still pretty much moisturized. I have noticed a slight difference with the lightening of the redness on my face and acne scars, over a month, as Centella Asiatica is effective for hyperpigmentation and troubled skin. My favorite part of this ampoule is, this is tailored especially for those who suffer with acne-prone, sensitive and irritated skin. This is hypoallergenic, dermatologist tested, cruelty-free, paraben free and alcohol free as well.

It has been a while since I’ve done a product review as I have been using the same products (and you all know I usually do reviews on products that I highly recommend). Recently, with all the traveling and with the hot summer days, my sensitive skin has been suffering. Break outs here and there plus hyperpigmentation and redness are very noticeable on my face. I learned that my moisturizer, it being too moisturizing, may be one of the reasons why I’m breaking out even more. It may have caused for pores to clog and more sebum production on especially hot days in the summer. I looked for a lighter moisturizer that would still be fine for the humid weather. I heard COSRX (one of my favorite kbeauty brands ever) released the Hydrium line with the Hydrium Centella Aqua Soothing Ampoule. I immediately got myself this and tried it. Now, it has been part of both my day and night routine! I’ve been taking this with me to my recent trips and I’m really loving it!
