Candy Apple Red Metallic Sparkle 2pc Alder Strat Style Body – Etsy

This is the 2nd neck I have purchased from Havok… This neck did not really resemble the photo’s and was a horrible bright pumpkin-orange colour. The finish also appeared to be contaminated with dust or grit of some kind on the face of the headstock. I ended up stripping the entire finish from the neck, sanded it and refinished it with Tru Oil. – It now looks and feels like a totally different neck. This neck had some high frets as well and I ended up levelling and crowning all the frets. The fit into the neck pocket of a genuine Fender body was better on this neck than on the first neck I purchased, but still not what you’d call snug. Did this neck meet my expectations… well, No. I won’t be buying another from Havok – Twice shy I’m afraid.
