Kien GiangChung Thanh Phong’s show “CTPNo2” takes the audience to an imaginary planet with futuristic costumes.
The show took place on April 7 in Phu Quoc, inspired by aliens. At 5:45 p.m., when the sun reached the top of one of the three arches on the stage, a voice read in the white smoke: “Welcome aboard the train number CTPNo2 to explore the planet CTP, the place of beauties. fashion without stereotypes”.

The arc-shaped stage is built on the surface of the lake 100 m wide, 1 m deep with archways like a space ship. When the train door opened, Minh Tu – playing the first beautiful creature – appeared in a see-through dress made from recycled materials. The supermodel ran quickly up the steps, catching the sun. After her, groups of models strode out in loose, body-hugging dresses that fit comfortably.
Chung Thanh Phong took three months to complete 85 costumes for the show. The collection is divided into two parts: app design, limited edition. If the first part, the catwalk models on the vibrant music background, in the second part, the drama is pushed up when the waterfall falls from above. The show is impressive with effects from light, water, and sky background that changes color from blue to pink. The catwalk was flooded, causing the two to take off their shoes, but continued the catwalk barefoot, cheered by the audience.

Following the direction of Futuristic, the collection uses the main metallic colors alternating white, black and blue. Designers fully exploit metallic materials, metal, mesh, denim, glossy leather. Quilted skirt made from emulsified elastic fabric, combined with 3D foam elastic to create a floating effect. With parachute fabric, the outfit uses silver and hologram colors, creating a modern look.
The breath-taking Y2K streetwear style that has taken the world by storm in the past two years has been thoroughly applied in the collection through denim clothes that combine chains, pins, punk sounds, and butterfly-shaped dresses. Chung Thanh Phong said he wants to rejuvenate the designs with the mid-range price segment, helping to get close to the Z gen.
The collection also offers metallic frocks with a splash effect with paracord buckles, or a combination of color printing for a new metallic look.

Corset – one of Chung Thanh Phong’s forte poses for many years – continues to be treated in a new style. Through the cut-out lines, skirts and corsets become sharper, more flattering, and respect the wearer’s body. Randomly hand-crafted draping and ruffles on glossy leather designs provide visual novelty. Tube beading, one of the more difficult techniques, is applied to column-shaped, flowing dresses, giving a glossy effect. On the costumes using mirror materials, Chung Thanh Phong combines laser cutting techniques, creating eye-catching patterns.
A new feature in this show must be the monogram pattern built by Chung Thanh Phong on loose-fitting, body-hugging dresses and easy to wear in many situations. The monogrammed patterns are cleverly created from beads, blending into the general trend of the world fashion village in recent years.

The designer embraces the sustainable fashion trend, applying it to a number of completely handmade dresses. They are made from shredded fabric and yarn, combined with an eco-friendly and biodegradable glue. Costumes are shaped by directly applying the material on the model’s body.
CTPNo2 It also shows the investment when applying FDM 3D printing technology, creating earrings and armor sets. The designer said that it took him 36 hours to complete the 3D printing process combined with metal plating, ensuring the visual effect and keeping the product light.
