[HELP] Acer Aspire E5-575G-35MP [i3-7100u/8GB/HD 620]
I have Acer Aspire E5-575G-35MP with these specs:
- Intel i3-7100u
- 8 GB Ram
- NVidia GeForce 940mx | Intel Graphics HD620
- Dual-Boot Windows 10/MacOS Catalina 10.15.2 with Clover UEFI installed separately on 2 240gb ssd
I had some experience installing High Sierra 10.13.6, which wasn’t so good, Mojave 10.14.5 which I used it 6 months without problems or I closed my eyes on them.
Week ago my APFS broke up and system didn’t want to boot up causing infinite loading.
So I decided moving to Catalina, but I didn’t do any Mojave Clover Config backup.
Installation process was not hard but took me some time fixing some problems.
Currently working things:
- Clover Dual-Boot
- Audio via AppleALC + Lilu, layoutid = 11 => Realtek AL255, this was easy
- Ethernet via Realtek8111.kext
- TP-LINK TL-WN725N USB Wi-Fi dongle with official beta driver for Catalina but I am planning to move to https://github.com/chris1111/Wireless-USB-Adapter-Clover this way to make dongle working
- Touchpad works AFAIK, but I mostly use my USB mouse
Current problems:
- Artifacts from Apple Logo loader which fixable by using Sleep and quickly wake up it. I am not who faced with problem as I remember but I can’t find any solution to it =(
- Battery Status shows 0%, using VirtualSMC + SMCBatteryManager.kext, i need some help with it
- Backlight control doesn’t work with Lilu + WhateverGreen. AFAIK AppleBacklightFixup was superseeded with WhateverGreen and I thought it gonna fix it from box
- Other things which I don’t realize what have to be done like Power Managment, etc.
I really liked using MacOS Mojave and I don’t wan’t to use Windows 10 with awful WSL anymore for my work and I want to fix all problems so I could use Hackintosh swimmingly. But I am really bad at patching DSDTs/SSDTs. I would be greatful to get some help with making this laptop fully hackintoshed.

P.S. I don’t remember how I patched (got patched) DSDT for working Battery Status and Backlight Control.
P.P.S. Hackintosh is kinda way to have some experience before buying a MacBook for me right now.
