Ho’oponopono Mantra – I Love You, I’m Sorry, Please Forgive Me, Thank You

I Am Sorry, Please Forgive Me

We say this mantra to acknowledge that we have caught something into our system.
Most of the time we have no clue what this program is or where it came from, and that’s perfectly fine, there’s absolutely no need to know this.
It can be any belief or thought or memory, from yourself or inherited from your ancestors. And this program is causing a certain situation or a feeling of anger, fear, frustration, impatience…

For example, the specific program that you caught can make you overweight or can cause an addiction. When you say “I’m sorry, please forgive me”, you’re making it clear to the Divine that you’re looking for forgiveness for whatever caused this program to show up in your life. But you’re petitioning Divinity for help to forgive yourself, you don’t need to ask Divinity to forgive you.

As we petition Love to rectify errors within ourselves we ask: “I am sorry for whatever is going on inside of me that manifests as the problem, Please forgive me.”
These are some other ways to ask it: “I am sorry for whatever beliefs I inherited or absorbed from my ancestors or myself.”, or “Please forgive me for the data or the beliefs or the memories that are making up this feeling of…”.
Love’s responsibility then is to transmute the errors within you that manifest as the problem.

If you have a problem with someone else you should ask yourself, “What is going on inside of me which is causing this man to irritate me?” Most of the time when people show up in our life, it is because there is a lesson we need to learn or to make us aware of a program inside ourselves, which we can then clean. It’s really great if we realize this because then we can take advantage of it and use it to clean, clean, clean.

It’s also important to realize that memories are shared. When you spot something in another that you don’t like, you have it in you, as well. Your job is to clean it. As you do, it will leave the other person as well. Remember, life is a mirror!

When you notice someone has a problem or ‘program’, that means you have it too. Ho’oponopono is also about taking 100% responsibility for everything going on in your life AND whatever you notice going on in the life of others. What happens in your life is not your fault, but it is your responsibility. Which means you can’t blame anyone or anything for your current reality. So taking responsibility for it, means accepting it, owning it, and loving it, so it can be healed.
And the great thing is, when you clean yourself, you clean the program from everyone.
