How to Access BIOS on an ASUS Laptop and Desktop
If you are a proud user of an ASUS laptop or owner of a computer with an ASUS motherboard, and you need to access BIOS (Basic Input/Output System), there are a few simple ways to do it.
It is important to know, that methods to enter the BIOS are different for every manufacturer of the laptop or motherboard. So, entering the BIOS on ASUS laptops will be different from that of Dell, Lenovo, or Toshiba.
Getting into the BIOS is necessary if you like to make important changes. We are talking about boot sequence, voltage, memory speed, and so on.
Here are some easy methods that will allow you to enter the BIOS on an ASUS laptop or desktop
F2: The ASUS Enter-BIOS Key
For most ASUS laptops, the key you need to press to enter the BIOS is F2. And you need to press the F2 while your laptop is booting up.
But according to the official documents of ASUS, it is recommended to press and hold the F2 button and then click the power button. It is also important to hold down the key until the BIOS screen is displayed.
While the F2 button should work for almost every ASUS laptop, there are other options you can try.
Alternatives Keys
F2 is the standard BIOS key for ASUS, but if for some reason, the F2 key doesn’t work for your laptop, try to use the alternative key DELETE or INSERT. In some cases, you should also try the F10.
Even with these alternative BIOS keys, you have to follow the same procedure: press and hold these keys before you switch on the power and wait until the BIOS is displayed.
