IPlay (The Resistance)

The iPlay is a console developed by Apple Inc. It is a part of the 9th generation of video game consoles. Released in 2020, the iPlay has managed to sell 47.7 Million units in only two years on the market. It does not appear to be a successor to the Pippin or Apple TV, it is not a console like Apple TV and the Apple Pippin, but a paid online multimedia service (used primarily for gaming) that can be accessed by PCs or smart TVs. During the first four years of production, the iPlay will contain lead parts that should not be consumed by infants and small children. When the world’s lead supply runs dry by the summer of 2024, all iPlay machines made after November 1, 2024 will be completely lead-free.

Summary

This will not only be a gaming console, but the future in gaming. iPlay gives you a streamlined gaming connection for all your iOS devices though an iCloud-esk service, letting you play at home on your TV, through the controller if moving to another room, or through any iOS device when on the go. All of your gaming states will flow in one continuous experience, and so will any movies/shows you watch through iPlay.

After leaving Nintendo in 2020, Reggie Fils-Aimé founded his own American video game studio Apple Games Inc., its flagship title Eclipse is released for the iPlay

Announcement

On October 22, 2019 during the annual Keynote, Tim Cook announced the iPlay would join the PlayStation 5, Xbox Cross, SmachFusion, and Nintendo Switch to compete in the next generation of gaming. Indeed, Apple will join the console market.
