Recreation Leaders 
Recreation Leaders help conduct recreation programs and events. We are always accepting applications for positive, enthusiastic and energetic people that like working with people. The majority of temporary hours available throughout the year are during evenings and weekends. Daytime hours are available more regularly in the summer months.

Aquatics Positions 
The City of Wenatchee hires between 15 to 20 temporary lifeguards, cashiers and other support staff for the City pool during the summer months. Lifeguards must have current lifeguard, first aid and CPR certifications, with special consideration given to certified Water Safety Instructors.

Park Maintenance Positions
The City of Wenatchee operates and maintains over 950 acres of parks, trailheads, facilities and landscaped areas around the community.  To assist with these efforts, several temporary park maintenance staff are hired each year.  Applicants must have a valid Washington State Drivers License.

Student Internships
Student Intern positions are available in the Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services Department for college students currently enrolled in recreation, leisure studies or a similar discipline. Please click here to download our Student Intern Program Brochure.

Volunteer Positions
There are various volunteer opportunities within the Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services Department throughout the year. Volunteers must be able to pass a standard Washington State Patrol background check. Please contact the Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services Department to learn about current volunteer opportunities.
