The Fried Chicken Invasion Continues With Three New Restaurants Headed to Las Vegas

Fried, grilled, or served up hot, fast-casual chicken dishes are the runaway hit of the year, and national restaurant rivals Dave’s Hot Chicken, Angry Chickz, and Golden Chick are all under construction across Las Vegas, but promised to be coming soon.

Now three more restaurants are hoping to enter the crowded local market with their own spins on a chicken-centric menu.

First to debut will be Bun Bun Chicken, headed to the northwest and replacing the Shawarma House Mediterranean Grill at 5861 W. Craig Road. Previewing a menu they warn will be “hot, hot, hot,” diners can expect chicken and waffles, plus grilled cheese sandwiches prepared with garlic butter, deep fried Cajun corn with Parmesan, and ice cream sandwiches for dessert.

On the westside, Blue Hen Chicken Co. is currently hiring ahead of its move into the former Jackie Bee Boba Express space at 6250 W. Charleston Boulevard.

The breakfast and brunch project is sharing it will locally source its ingredients and serve a menu based around chicken sandwiches, “fun sides,” salads, savory and sweet crêpes, and a team of baristas pouring coffee and espresso drinks.

And still to be confirmed, San Diego-born franchise Epic Wings is expanding from Southern California and importing its collection of tenderloin strips, boneless bites, and Buffalo wings. Franchiser Kevin Davis is behind the move, but has not shared a potential local site. Also on the menu, the very popular Buffalo chicken pizza sticks and stacked fries topped with cheese, chicken, and chipotle ranch dressing.

Exact opening dates and future hours for all three ventures have yet to be announced.
