These are the 224 beer brands that will soon be owned by just one company
This post has been corrected.
Anheuser-Busch InBev (AB InBev) has just bought SABMiller in a deal that, if successfully completed, will end up producing one third of the world’s beer.

Following on from yesterday’s announcement of the largest-ever deal between technology companies, the beer takeover is also one of the top five deals in corporate history. After two previous failed attempts, SABMiller finally agreed “in principle” to accept AB InBev’s deal to pay £44 ($67) a share in cash.
By buying its closest rival, AB InBev will firmly secure its position as the world’s beer-making powerhouse. These are the 224 brands that we have counted that will be owned by the AB InBev-SABMiller combo.

Correction: An earlier version of this article said that the 224 brands “are now owned” by one company, which will not be true until the deal has closed. The headline and opening paragraphs were changed to reflect that.
