Vietnamese government signs 3.5GW La Gan survey contracts – reNews – Renewable Energy News

La Gan Wind Power Development Corporation and the Vietnamese government have signed contracts for survey campaigns for the 3500MW La Gan offshore wind project.

The Danish ambassador to Vietnam Kim Hojlund Christensen, hosted a virtual contract signing ceremony for the signing of two contracts, for the geological study and geophysical survey campaign.

La Gan Wind Power Development Corporation signed the contracts with the Vietnamese government agency, Northern Center for Planning and Investigation of Marine Resources and Environment (CPIM), which is working in close collaboration with the Geological Survey of Denmark and Greenland (GEUS).

In February four memorandum of understanding were signed for La Gan for foundation supply and harbour services.

The MoUs were signed with Vietnam-based contractors CS Wind Corporation, PTSC Mechanical and Construction, South Petroleum Construction and Vietsopetro.

La Gan is owned by Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners, Asiapetro and Novasia.

In November the joint venture o awarded two contracts for site investigations at the La Gan offshore wind farm site.

One contract is with Axys Technologies is for the deployment of a floating lidar, while the second is with Danish company Niras Group for environmental and social impact assessments.
