What’s Inside The Apple Watch Series 5 Box? – ValueWalk

The Apple Watch Series 5 was released on Sept. 20, so some consumers have been able to get their hands on one over the last month or so. But what if you’ve been thinking about getting one? Here’s what’s inside the Apple Watch Series 5 box.

Opening the Apple Watch Series 5 box

If you order an Apple Watch Series 5, you will receive two boxes: one containing the body or case of the watch and a second containing the strap. Apple decided to let all buyers customize their Apple Watch, which is why the body and the strap come in separate boxes. The body of the watch is inside a sleeve, which protects it until the box is opened. The strap comes in a long, flat box.

Inside the Apple Watch Series 5 box, you will find the case, a 1-meter magnetic charging cable and a 5W USB power adapter. Among the options are aluminum, stainless steel, titanium and ceramic cases with a wide variety of different straps in various colors. This is the first year a titanium case has been available, and it brings a return of ceramic cases, which weren’t available in the Series 4.

New features

Perhaps the most-anticipated new feature this year is the always-on display. One of the greatest weaknesses of previous models was that the display turned off when the watch wasn’t being used, but that meant users had to make extra movements just to check the time instead of merely glancing at their wrist. New display technology enabled Apple to include the always-on display without compromising dramatically on the battery life.

The other two new features on this year’s Apple Watch are the built-in compass and international cellular bands. The Apple Watch Series 5 is also made of newer, more premium materials.

watchOS 6 is also bringing updates to all Apple Watch models, especially with the independent app store it adds. Some users may find that the watchOS 6 updates make their older models be adequate for their needs, although a few may wish to pony up the $400+ for the Series 5 just to get the always-on display.
