Putting up a false front to be accepted, liked, desired only to realise that they liked you for the person you said you were, claimed to be. Getting so stuck in that rabbit hole of false appreciation that your only options left are to become that person entirely. Or dig yourself deeper until the dirt is too much and you can’t see sideways, left, right and those self-imposed mud goggles will blind you for life.
