Establishes Board member performance standards and deficiency actions.

BOARD DEVELOPMENT & RECRUITMENT COMMITTEE
The Committee is responsible for the outreach and recruitment activities to facilitate bringing forward the most qualified candidates for potential service on the NTEA Board of Directors.

Ensures the Board’s culture and strategic focus is upheld.

Identifies any gaps in skills or constituency representation on the Board of Directors.

Actively recruits industry thought leaders for Board service.

Reviews candidate pool and makes necessary recommendation of final slate of candidates for consideration by the NTEA Board.

Acts as the primary point of contact through the recruitment, nomination, review and election process for candidates.

EDUCATION COMMITTEE
The Committee is responsible for the development of Work Truck Week, Green Truck Summit, Commercial Vehicle Upfitting Summit, Executive Leadership Summit and NTEA webinars.

- Prepares and monitors annual budgets.
- Establishes NTEA Investment Policy and provides investment oversight.

The Committee is responsible for determining what actions should be considered to help ensure NTEA is well positioned to serve the work truck industry well into the foreseeable future.

Examines potential business models that service customers outside our core industry.

- Oversees and guides the activity of the Programs & Services, Government Relations, and Operating/Affiliate Governance Working Groups.

- Monitors and reviews activity related to Work Truck Industry Welder Certification Program and NTEA’s MVP Program.
- Oversees NTEA’s affinity programs and partnerships

GOVERNMENT RELATIONS WORKING GROUP
The Working Group is responsible for developing and advocating industry positions on legislative and regulatory issues of concern.

Reviews and evaluates legislative and regulatory proposals in the U.S. and Canada.

Participates in development and dissemination of Association positions on government policy issues.

Promotes member grassroots participation on industry initiatives.

Serves as a resource to legislators and regulators on the work truck industry.

operating/affiliate division governance working group

The working group is tasked with evaluating and harmonizing NTEA Operating Divisions’ governance and operating policies to align with NTEA processes and policies.

Once all amendments and legal review have been completed, revised governance and operating policies will be presented to the Services Committee for review before presenting to the NTEA Board for final approval and adoption.
