Hepatitis B Virus E Antibody (HBeAb) Test–Atlas-link – Atlaslink – 林科特 – Atlas-link Technology
Cat.No.: HBV 231/232
INTENDED USE:
The One Step HBeAb Test is intended for in vitrodiagnostic use in the rapid, qualitative detection of Hepatitis Be antibody directly from serum.
The test is intended for use as an aid in the diagnosis of Hepatitis B virus infections.
SUMMARY AND EXPLANATION:
HBeAg is the extracellular form of HBcAg, which is why the presence of both are markers ofviral replication, and antibodies for these antigens are markers of a decline in replication. HBeAb isthe antibody to HBeAg. HBeAb appears either at the time e antigen disappears or 1-2 weeks later.Since the disappearance of e antigens occurs shortly before the disappearance of the surface antigen(HbsAg), detection of HBeAb usually means that the acute stage of hepatitis B virus (HBV)infection is over or nearly over and that infectivity for others is much lower. In a few cases, there areshort periods of e-antigen and e-antibody coexistence. The presence of HBeAb is generally taken tobe a good sign and indicates a favourable prognosis
One Step ANTI-HBe Test is a colloidal gold enhanced immunoassay for the determination of antibodies to Hepatitis B e antigen (ANTI-HBe) in serum. The nitrocellulose membrane is immobilized with mouse ANTI-HBeAgMcAb on the test region. During the assay, the mixture of HBeAg and serum specimen is allowed to react with the colored conjugate (antibody-colloidal gold conjugate). The mixture then migrates on the membrane through capillary action.
