How Old Are the Jujutsu Kaisen Characters: Ages Chart & Birthdays

Jujutsu Kaisen has made quite an impact amongst anime fans, adapted from the manga of the same name.

From its detailed animation style to the open-ended series finale, fans are excited to receive the series’ next installment!

The manga confirmed some characters’ ages and birthdays, but the anime series gives some hints as to how old those characters who have not officially been confirmed may be.

Yuji Itadori is a first-year at Tokyo Jujutsu High, making him 15 years old.

As a fellow first-year, Megumi Fushiguro is the same age as Yuji (15). Nobara Kugisaki is the only first-year who is 16 years old.

She is less experienced in sorcery and curses than other 16 years olds and so begins her sorcery training at a similar level to Yuji and Megumi. 

The oldest character in Jujutsu Kaisen is Sukuna.

Because he is a cursed spirit, it is hard to tell precisely how old Sukuna is, but the legends and stories surrounding him suggest that he is more than 1000 years old. 

Yuji may only be 15 years old, but when he consumed the finger of Sukuna, his ordinary life was thrown into disarray.

Now the vessel for the all-powerful King of Curses, Yuji is tasked with the responsibility to learn everything he can about the world of curses and sorcerers while fighting an internal battle with the evilest curse ever to exist. 

Jujutsu Kaisen follows Yuji’s journey to becoming a grade 1 sorcerer to control the King of Curses and instead use the powers for good.

Yuji Itadori – March 20th 

Yuji Itadori is one of the younger students at Tokyo Jujutsu High at 15 years old, putting him in his first year at school. However, he has much less experience than most of his classmates. 

His emotions moderate everything that Yuji does. He is just as preppy as he is quick to anger. Yuji may only be 15, but he has a solid moral compass and stands by his own take on life. 

Yuji is quick to put himself in danger if it means saving the lives of his friends but will not take another human’s life. This can often lead to impulsive decisions, such as eating Sukuna’s finger to save Megumi even though they had only just met. 

Megumi Fushiguro – December 22nd 

Megumi Fushiguro is also 15 years old but is a few months younger than Yuji as his birthday is December 22nd. He is just as stubborn about his morals as Yuji, having a very bleak outlook on the world – a world that he wants desperately to change. 

As a first-year, Megumi still has a lot to learn about sorcery. But he is full of potential and sets himself apart from older shikigami wielders by forcing himself to master hand-to-hand combat though it doesn’t come as easily to him. 

Nobara Kugisaki – August 7th 

Nobara Kugisaki is the oldest first-year at 16 years old but is placed with the first years due to her inexperience as a sorcerer. She is close enough in age to Yuji and Megumi for her placement to not be too demeaning. 

Perhaps it is her slight maturity over the other first years that gives Nobara an almost arrogant confidence. This confidence can come across as Nobara thinking she is better than others, but this isn’t true. She is as much of a joker and a good friend as she is a valuable one with her wit and knowledge. 

Satoru Gojo – December 7th 

As far as master jujutsu sorcerers go, Satoru Gojo is relatively young with unmatched power at only 28 years old. This is due to intense training and being the first in 400 years to inherit the Six Eyes and Limitless simultaneously. 

Satoru is unhappy with the world of jujutsu and has been from a young age. He aims to change the world for the better through his students. He knows that the jujutsu sorcerers that came before him are to blame for how the world is, so Satoru offers litter respect to his elders. 

Maki Zenin – January 20th 

In Jujutsu Kaisen, Maki Zenin is 16 years old. She is an important side character in the series but is a main protagonist in the manga prequel to Jujutsu Kaisen (Jujutsu Kaisen 0: Jujutsu High). 

Though more of her story is explored in the prequel, Maki is shown to be a very mature second year in the Jujutsu Kaisen anime. She is not very open to most people, remaining guarded and closed off even to those close to her. But once she does start to open up, Maki is a phenomenal leader and a loyal friend. 

Toge Inumaki – October 23rd 

Like Maki, Toge Inumaki appears in the Jujutsu Kaisen’s prequel manga, but when he is first seen in the Jujutsu Kaisen anime, he is 17 years old. 

Due to his mute tendencies in an effort to control his verbal curse, Toge has learned to be attentive. Many of the sorcerers in year 2 at Tokyo Jujutsu High can appear standoffish to the younger students, and Toge is no different. However, he is respected for his powers. 

To Maki and Panda, Toge is a lot more open, able to communicate with them in ways that only close friends can. 

Panda – March 5th 

Panda is thought to be roughly 16 because he is in the same year as Toge and Maki and is at a similar skill level to them. Though, because he is a panda, it is difficult to tell precisely how old he is in human years. 

Clearly, Panda is not a real panda but is, in fact, a cursed corpse that Masamichi Yaga created. This means that Panda has physical strength far exceeding most others in his year. Personality-wise, he is sarcastic and goofy like any 16-year-old boy would be. 

Yuta Okkotsu – March 7th 

When he was the main protagonist in Jujutsu Kaisen 0: Jujutsu High, Yuta Okkotsu was 16 years old. In the Jujutsu Kaisen anime series, he is 17 and in his second year at Jujutsu High. 

When introduced to the Jujutsu Kaisen anime series, Yuta is no longer a timid boy but a tired and responsible man. He appears much older than 17, both in appearance and abilities, tasked with responsibilities that few of his classmates experience.

Sukuna – Birthday Unknown

Due to Sukuna being over 1000 years old, it is unclear exactly when he was born. However, what is clear is that he is not a man to be reckoned with. 

Sukuna is the King Of Curses, making him the main villain in the Jujutsu Kaisen anime series. And what a villain he is. Sadistic, arrogant, and condescending, Sukuna has used countless human vessels for over 1000 years to conduct his manipulative work without regard for how this might affect the body. 

The latest victim subjected to Sukuna’s mistreatment is Yuji, whose life is forever altered once he eats one of Sukuna’s fingers. 

Mahito – Birthday Unknown

As he is a cursed spirit, Mahito doesn’t have a determinable birthday, nor is his age specified. He seems to be a year or so old spirit inhabiting a 20-year-old’s body based on context clues. 

Mahito fits the role of his 20-year-old vessel perfectly, though with fewer morals than most 20 years olds. The only ‘friends’ he has are those he considers entertaining enough to play with, casting them aside or killing them when he is bored. 

Kento Nanami – July 3rd 

Kento Nanami is still quite a young sorcerer at 28 years old, but he acts as though his whole life has been wasted on rushing to become a sorcerer and then spending his 4 years after graduation from Jujutsu High as a salesman. 

He may be the same age as Satoru, but the two are drastically different. Satoru has remained youthful and energetic, while Kento only became more stoic and reserved. It is clear from his stories that Kento has always been more mature than his friends, but the dull life of a salesman seems to have taken a toll on him. 

Suguru Geto – February 30th 

Suguru Geto is 27 years old in Jujutsu Kaisen, a year or so younger than Satoru. Though he is just as skilled, making a perfect match for Satoru.

Both Suguru and Satoru were Masamichi Yaga’s students while still in school, but while Satoru wanted to help humans with his abilities, Suguru wanted to destroy them. So much so that he murdered over 100 humans in a single night, becoming known as the worst curse sorcerer of all time. 

Masamichi Yaga – Birthday Unknown

It is unclear when Mashamichi’s birthday is, but he is said to be 47 years old. Aside from the cursed characters, Masamichi is one of the oldest characters in the Jujutsu Kaisen anime series. 

He was responsible for the creation of Panda but was first and foremost the principle of Tokyo Jujutsu High. 

With so many years of sorcery under his belt, Masamichi is as much of a threatening authority to the students as an ambitious example. He is rigid with who he allows entering the school, refusing Yuji at first as Masamichi deemed his desire to help people not a good enough reason to attend the school. 

Mai Zenin – January 20th 

Like her twin sister Maki, Mai Zenin is 16 years old and is in her second year at Tokyo Jujutsu High. But their shared birthdays and heights are the only thing that ties Mai and Maki together. 

They both grew up being viewed as lesser by the Zenin clan. Though Maki wanted to leave, Mai was okay with how things were until Maki abandoned her. From that moment on, Mai harbored a deep resentment for her sister and the whole world of sorcery, knowing that she had to become one herself to avoid ruin.

Aoi Todo – September 23rd 

Aoi Todo is 18 years old and attending Kyoto Jujutsu High as a third-year student. He is very much a typical 18-year-old, which is to say, girl-centric, and taking any opportunity to show off his body. 

However, underneath his brawl and brawn, Aoi is intelligent. He shows this at the Goodwill event, where he mentors Yuji, explaining to him how cursed energies work.
