Gazzy Garcia was born on August 17, 2000, in Miami, Florida, to a Cuban mother and a Mexican father. He was raised in a lower-middle-class neighbourhood, which contributed to his violent demeanour. He got into a lot of fights in school and was never a well-behaved student. Lil soon became addicted to narcotics. His academic performance suffered as a result of his frequent strong marijuana use.

He was a con artist who was expelled from almost every school he attended as a youngster. He once severely beaten a female. In another instance, he instigated a brawl at school, which resulted in his expulsion. The school was closed down as a consequence of the riot he started.

The police were forced to intervene to bring the rioters under control. He soon began distributing narcotics. Lil Pump was interested in rap music but never envisaged himself making a career out of it. He mostly paid attention to Chief Keef.

Career

As Lil Pump became increasingly engaged in the music production process, he formed a gang alongside Smokepurpp and started engaging in unlawful actions like as beating up individuals and breaking into residences. Lil eventually decided to teach himself how to compose music. Despite working hard on his tracks, he had difficulty finding artists willing to utilise his songs.

Pump decided to make freestyle music since he couldn’t locate acceptable artists or lyrics. Smokepurpp was impressed by what he heard and inspired Pump to compose his own raps. Pump first rejected such recommendations, but eventually decided to go forward with them. The resulting track, named ‘Lil Pump,’ was released on ‘SoundCloud.’ The song quickly became viral on the site.

This prompted them to release numerous additional songs, including ‘Elementary,’ ‘Ignorant,’ ‘Gang Shit,’ and ‘Drum$tick.’ These singles each received millions of “views.” They grew optimistic about a prosperous future in rap music. Lil Pump rose to prominence in the South Florida underground rap scene as a result of his success.

His music exemplified ‘SoundCloud Rap,’ a phrase created by listeners in response to the increasing number of rap artists submitting their work to the site. Pump was invited to join in the ‘No Jumper’ tour in 2016 as a result of his success on ‘SoundCloud.’ He also took part in the ‘Rolling Loud Festival.’

Pump released two singles in 2017 named ‘D Rose’ and ‘Boss,’ both of which smashed all of his prior records. They have had over 70 million hits on ‘SoundCloud.’ Because of their growing fame, a Chicago-based filmmaker called Cole Bennett volunteered to produce music videos for them for free.

In early 2017, the music video for ‘D Rose’ was released. Within a year, it has received over 140 million views on ‘YouTube.’ Several record companies had approached Lil Pump at that point. He joined with Warner Bros. Records and Tha Lights Global.

It was subsequently found, however, that he was still a minor when he signed the agreement with ‘Warner Bros.’ The transaction was illegal, and the contract was ruled null and void in January 2018. Previously, in mid-2017, Lil stated that he was working on his first studio album, which was set to be released later that year.

The album was planned to be released in August, however it was postponed. He released a song called ‘Gucci Gang’ in August, which became his first significant breakout hit single.

The song was posted on ‘SoundCloud’ in late August and quickly became his greatest success. It peaked at number three on the ‘Billboard Hot 100’ list. Although the song was financially successful, it was widely panned, particularly for its repetitious character. Several parodies of the song have been created and posted on different social media platforms.

Lil’s first self-titled studio album was released in October 2017 to rave reviews. The album debuted at number two on the Billboard 200 list. Lil continued to work with his rap hero, Chief Keef. The album sold over 500,000 copies in the United States alone and was certified “gold” by the ‘Recording Industry Association of America’ (RIAA).

Following the expiration of his contract with ‘Warner Bros, many major record companies sought to sign him. He did, however, opt to sign a new deal with ‘Warner Bros.’ He stated in March that he was working on his second album, ‘Harverd Dropout,’ which was scheduled to be released in August. Prior to the release of the album, the singles ‘Drug Addicts’ and ‘Esskeetit’ were released.
