Nice day !Day trip with Vietnam Adventure Tours, it was a long day, cost about £ 20 pp so good value. The guide was fine – his English was ok. The river cruise wasn’t as expected as a bit commercial – the river is the colour of chocolate and very busy. The smaller boats are punted by the locals but again very busy water had a bit of rubbish in it – usual plastics and carrier bags. The lunch went down well with most but not to my liking as fish, vegetarian option was available and offered so worth considering. I would recommend perhaps a smaller group tour or consider if you can visit the locals homeland in a different way, the tour is ok but just ok .

Not On Par With Previous Aqua Expeditions River CruiseLast year my wife and I had a spectacular cruise with Aqua Expeditions on the Amazon River in Peru. That cruise prompted us to book the Aqua Expeditions 7 Night Mekong River Cruise. Unfortunately the Mekong River Cruise did not live up to our expectations after taking the Amazon Cruise. The staff was great and so were the guides however some of the tours offered at the various destinations were redundant. Our biggest complaints are our cabin, the food and the value received for the price. We had the same class of cabin as we had on the Amazon Cruise but the cabin on the Mekong Cruise was not nearly as nice and lacked some of the amenities that the cabin on the Amazon Cruise had. We did not care for the Cambodian and Vietnamese food served on board the cruise and the food on the alternative ” western menu ” was not very good and poorly prepared. Out of 6 people that took the full 7 day cruise 3 got sick from the food. This cruise was the same length as the Amazon Cruise but was significantly more expensive. Before selecting the Aqua Expeditions Mekong River Cruise we did our due diligence and looked at Mekong River Cruises offered by other cruise lines. Scenic Cruises offers a 7 night cruise that includes a 950 sf cabin with a huge balcony and many more food choices at a cost that is 25 % less than the Aqua Expeditions Cruise but we still picked Aqua Expeditions due to our previous experience with them on the Amazon Cruise. Unfortunately this turned out to be a mistake. We highly recommend the Amazon Cruise but do not recommend the Mekong River Cruise. There are better choices available for this cruise at a lesser cost .

great riverboat – highly interesting tripWhat a wonderful ship ! But even better was the crew, all of whom were incredibly friendly, helpful and kind. But the top crew thành viên undoubtedly was the chef, whose soups and noodle dishes were beyond compare. The guides who accompanied us on our day trips and who provided the historical and informational talks every night were excellent – great knowledge, very smart and good communicators. Fascinating insights into a communist country and both modern city and rural life in Vietnam and Cambodia. Recommended without reservation

Group tour of Vietnam and CambodiaWe had a fantastic time on the cruise. To see the sights as we went down the river was a moving thought provoking time. We stopped each day for tours a market a bike or walk session to a village to meet the villagers. A trip to a coconut factory which had much more than just that. The most pleasing thing about the cruise were Daisy and Chow. They made everything flow and serverd and entertained us the whole time. Giving us lots of information about things making sure we had everything we needed entertaining us with games and karaoke. Cooking lessons from the chef and the lovely Daisy. Nothing was to much. A couple of us didn’t want to go on the bike / walking trip and it was no problem to stay on board and get some rest and sun on the top deck. Daisy you are a star and I’m sure you will go far you truly are such a nice person. I hope all your dreams come true. Please pass on my thanks to Daisy and Chow .

Interesting sightsReview of : Mekong Delta Discovery Day Tour ( My Tho – Ben Tre )The tour was fun. English speaking guide was knowledgeable – go for the tour by asianalink. We experienced the speed boat, the hand rowing boat and the tuk tuk. We also visited the coconut candy factory whete we get to try warm, freshly made coconut candy which was so so nice ! Buy their coconut biscuits from there too. Really good and fresh. We also tried the honey with pollen, also served with fried banana fritters which were really good too. Buy these back, made for really good soivenirs. We were also served tropical fruits and entertained by local singers. Nice !
