Sylmasta AB Epoxy Putty – Pipe Repair & Surface Restoration Epoxy

Sylmasta AB Original is a ceramic-filled epoxy putty with a slow work time, enabling bulk quantities to be mixed and applied in complex pipe repair and surface restoration applications.

It seals holes and cracks in pipes made of steel, iron, copper, PVC plastic, GRP, ceramic, concrete, lead, and rubber. Where the exterior of a pipe has been damaged by corrosion, it strengthens and restores the surface profile to improve pipeline integrity. It can be used for the encapsulation of leaking joints and offers an ultra smooth finish.

AB Original makes underwater repairs, offers excellent adhesion to wet surfaces, and has high chemical resistance. In chemically aggressive environments, it works as a sacrificial layer to protect pipework.

Sylmasta AB Original is available in bulk sizes up to 50kg for large-scale applications. It is available in white, black or grey as standard to match pipework. Further colour customisation is possible; please contact Sylmasta for more information.

AB Original has a two hour work time. This allows more putty to be mixed in one go without the threat of premature curing, minimising waste, and allowing significant areas of damage to be repaired. Sylmasta recommend AB Original to clients operating in hot climates because of its cure time.

Sylmasta AB Original contains no solvents or VOC’s, is non-flammable and releases no noxious fumes. It will not shrink or pull away when setting. The unused portion stays fresh for future use when saved in its original package.
