Tekashi 6ix9ine (Tekashi69) is an American rapper, singer, and songwriter from New York City. He formerly went by the stage name Wallah Dan. 6ix9ine is a member of the ScumGang crew. He was once affiliated with Tr3way Entertainment. His discography includes the studio album Dummy Boy (2018) and the mixtape Day69 (2018). Standout songs include “GUMMO”, “BEBE” with Anuel AA, and “FEFE” with Nicki Minaj and Murda Beatz.
Tekashi69 was born Daniel Hernandez on May 8, 1996, in Brooklyn, New York. His mother is Mexican and his father Puerto Rican. He was raised in the Bushwick neighborhood of Brooklyn. In 2009, 6ix9ine’s father was shot and killed outside of their home. Only 13 years old at the time, the tragic loss led to deep depression. He was also diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). With no father figure around, 6ix9ine started misbehaving and hanging out with the wrong crowd. He was subsequently kicked out of school in the 8th grade.
