The Sunshine Group – A Special Summer Program Bringing Smiles to Children Since 1968

What is The Sunshine Group?

The Sunshine Group is a six-week summer program for children ages 4 and up.

We meet at Oakland Park, located at 76 Oakland Street in Medway, MA. The playground shares a parking lot with the Medway Senior Center.

Our main focus is socialization (we feel strongly that children need to play), but of course there is learning going on all the time, just not at a desk or in a classroom. The children develop self-confidence with each successful project and game.

Our Mission

We want everyone at our program to SHINE in their own way. Our children and our staff alike gain more confidence throughout the summer by working together, learning new things, making new friends, and most importantly having fun by being themselves!

Everyone Should Have the Sunshine Experience!

The Sunshine Group is open to all children with or without special needs. We meet Tuesdays and Wednesdays at Oakland Park, go on a field trip on Thursdays, and go swimming on Fridays. 

Each week we focus on a particular theme and coordinate lessons, games, activities, crafts, songs, and a field trip to learn about that theme. Some favorite themes include Characters, Sports/Olympics, Wacky, and Science Week!
