Widow of Paul Walker’s friend ‘settles her lawsuit against Porsche’ | Daily Mail Online
The widow of the man who was driving the car during the crash that killed Paul Walker has settled her lawsuit against Porsche, it has been reported.
Kristine Rodas, who was married to auto racing shop owner Roger Rodas, had accused the German car manufacturer of producing faulty mechanics.
Roger and Fast and Furious star Walker died when the 2005 Carrera GT spun out of control on a city street in Valencia, near Los Angeles, and burst into flames after hitting a power pole and several trees.

Walker, who was 40, and Rodas, 38, both died at the scene of the crash over Thanksgiving weekend in November 2013.
According to court files seen by The Blast, Rodas filed a notice on Friday explaining her suit has now been ‘settled in its entirety’, meaning the case can be concluded.
The Porsche was going between 80 and 93 mph in a 45 mph zone when it careened off the road.
It is not the first time Kristine has sued Porsche – she filed a suit for wrongful death/product liability not long after her husband’s death.
But her argument that the car was ill-equipped to handle side impact was deemed moot, since the fatal force came from the front when it hit the lamppost – as her own expert confirmed.
US District Judge Philip S. Gutierrez also rejected the front impact argument because ‘Rodas’ fatal injuries occurred when he actually was hurled into Paul Walker.’
He also held that Rodas’ lawyers had not presented evidence demonstrating the crash was caused by a defective suspension.
But Kristine filed an appeal that was set to be heard next month.
The case, however, has now been settled – though the details are not yet known.
Last year, Walker’s daughter Meadow settled her wrongful death lawsuit against Porsche.

Last year, Walker’s daughter Meadow (pictured) settled her wrongful death lawsuit against Porsche
Meadow sued Porsche in 2015 claiming that her actor father was trapped by a faulty seatbelt and burned alive while in the passenger seat of a 2005 Porsche Carrera GT.
The lawsuit also alleged that Porsche knew the Carrera GT had a history of ‘instability and control issues’.
Meadow previously was awarded $10.1 million in a 2016 settlement from the estate of Roger Rodas.
Court documents also showed that Paul’s father, Paul William Walker III, also settled his own lawsuit against Porsche.
